Lustig Boxern is a small in-home kennel. We have just started showing boxers in competition (AKC and  UKC) in 2001, but have been owned by boxers for over twenty five years. Our boxers are pets first then show dogs second. We are looking for temperament, working ability and show qualities in any boxer that we get and in any future breeding. 

The name of our kennel is German from the Bavarian dialect which translates to Happy Boxers. This typifies the temperament and personality of the line we are working to achieve and the way our boxers are raised. 

Mary got started with boxers when her parents brought home her first boxer (Major) when she was three years old. That started her love of boxers. She got her next boxer when she finished college and had her first job. She introduced me to boxers when we were dating and there can be no other dog for us. The house has never been empty of boxers since that time except for two very long days after losing our Ginger Snap. 

We currently have four boxers in our kennel at this time. Please see the pictures and titles that they have in the kennel area. 

Our dogs do to Schutzhund training. This seems to bring the best out in our dogs. They train in all phases of Schutzhund but depending on the dog's temperament we may or may not get  a title on the dog beyond the BH level. To find out more about Schutzhund, please check the links page.
